The patients taking this medication may experience corneal thinning, cataract, fungal infection and rise in intraocular (eye) pressure. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately

It is recommended to inform your prescriber if you are allergic to Polymyxin B, or if you have any other allergies before using this medication. Tell your doctor your complete medical history especially of other skin conditions like eczema (itchy, red and dry skin), shingles (viral infection causing a painful rash; change in color and texture of skin), and chickenpox (itchy rash with small fluid-filled blisters; a small pocket of body fluid).
This medication is contraindicated in patients with viral, fungal, tuberculous or purulent infections.
