Patients using this medication may at times experience headache, nausea, vomiting, and hypophosphatemia (decreased level of phosphates in blood). If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.
This medication should not be used in pregnancy.
This medication should not be used by lactating mothers.

This medication should be used with extreme caution in patients with severe renal (kidney) and hepatic (liver) impairment.
