Description

This medicine is used to treat infectious and nonspecific diarrhea. It is also used for oral rehydration in acute diarrhea in combination with other medicines.

It is also used for preventing and treating digestive complications such as colitis (inflammation of the large intestine) and candidiasis (bacterial infection). Furthermore, it can be used to prevent and treat nasogastric-tube alimentation diarrhea (type of diarrhea).
